Pig Pudgy Pals Crochet Pattern

These pig pudgy pals are the first in my new line of pudgy pals. If you want a quick project to add a little cuteness to your lives, you’re in the right place! Options are provided to make your pigs with either open or closed eyes. With these detailed instructions, even those with little crochet experience can find success creating their own masterpieces!

  • The pudgy pals measure 5″ tall & 4″ wide.
  • Skills: chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch, SC decrease, HDC Dec, working in front & back loops only & basic sewing
  • Written in US Terms
  • Skill Level: Easy
  • PDF format available for instant download
  • 5 pages long

  • Hooks: You will need a 4 mm (G) hook.
  • Yarn: The recommended yarn is worsted weight (I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby for the majority of the pigs and Caron Simply Soft for the detail work). You are welcome to use any brand of yarn but if you’d like your piggies to turn out the same size as mine, please be sure to check your gauge first! For a tip on how to save time when checking your gauge, check out my blog post entitled “Becoming a Master Gauge Checker: It’s a stinky job, but somebody’s gotta do it. . .”
  • Polyester fiberfill & tapestry needle with large eye
  • If you want to weight down your pig pudgy pals a bit, you can add polypropylene beans. Here’s a link to where I found the best deal for what I wanted
