Sweet Snowman Hat Pattern

This snowman hat pattern is very versatile. You can make the boy or girl. Choose between open eyes or closed eyes. You can also make it with either a fuzzy hat base or non-fuzzy (regular worsted weight) hat base. With these detailed instructions, even those with little crochet experience can find success creating their own masterpieces!



  • Includes instructions for 10 sizes: 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 2-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-10 years, 11-15 years, 16-small adult, medium adult & large adult

  • Hooks: You will need a 4 mm (G), 5 mm (H), 5.5 mm (I) & 6 mm (J) hook IF YOUR GAUGE MATCHES MINE!  The J hook is only needed if you make the furry hat base.
  • Yarn: I used a thinner worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Soft). For the furry hat base I also used Bernat Pipsqueak. You are welcome to use any brand of yarn as long as you check your gauge before beginning.   • Polyester Stuffing & tapestry needle with large eye
