THINGS YOU WILL NEED:
- Hooks: You will need a 4/4.25 mm (G), 5.5 mm (I), & 6.5 mm (K) hook IF YOUR GAUGE MATCHES MINE! You do not need to match my gauge if you don’t care how big your pony turns out.
- Yarn: You are welcome to use any brand of yarn as long as you check your gauge before beginning. For a tip on how to save time when checking your gauge, check out my blog post entitled “Becoming a Master Gauge Checker: It’s a stinky job, but somebody’s gotta do it. . .”
- I used Charisma Yarn By Loops & Thread(you can use any category 5 chunky yarn for main color). You will need 10 balls (1090 yards) of the main color.
- Red Heart Super Saver Yarn (or any worsted weight category 4 yarn). You will need small amounts of accent color, eye patch color, and leaf color.
- Red Heart Soft (or any THIN category 4 yarn or sport weight yarn). You will need small amounts of black & white
- Polyester Stuffing & tapestry needle with large eye
- Standard or Queen pillow
- Pins (optional but very helpful when placing pieces)
